ISLAND HAMPER!

If the property you would like to rent is not part of the free luxury hamper promotion you can still purchase a hamper from Island Holiday Cottages.  The Local Produce Island Hamper (contains all food items from promotional luxury hamper, but no beverages) is available to buy for £40. 

Hampers purchased cannot be delivered to your cottage but can be collected from our office, therefore this offer is best suited to those staying in the north Mull area.

 

Monday - Monday for the festive period

Please note that our letting week for the festive period runs from Monday to Monday.  This is to fit in with ferry timetables and try to place Christmas Day  & New Years Day in the middle of the letting week.

 

Christmas

Tobermory offers some good shopping opportunities for Christmas presents, choose handmade gifts from The Tobermory Soap Company, Tobermory Chocolate Factory and Mull Pottery.  Original artworks and limited edition prints from various island artists are available to buy from An Tobar (Arts centre, upper Tobermory) & Gus Stewart's gallery on Breadalbane Street.

As well as painting his renowned watercolours, Gus is also a film maker and his DVD " Tobermory : moments from a year" A portrait of Tobermory which will make a nice gift for anyone who wants to bring back the flavour of the town and community.  Visit Gus's website to find out more:  http://www.mullart.com/

Mull offers a wide range of local produce (many items are included in our hamper) that make ideal gifts, whisky, beer, smoked fish, cheese & shortbread to name a few.

 

Island Blue has a wide range of gifts and has two outlets, one at Baliscate and one on Tobermory's Main Street.  Recipients of our hampers receive a 10% discount voucher for Island Blue and a 2010 Mull Calendar.

Hogmanay

Welcome in the New Year in Tobermory!

 

Celebrations start at the Hogmanay dance held in the Aros Hall (tickets on sale in Tobermory the prior to New Year).

 

Gather round the Tobermory Clock Tower for the bells then watch the spectacular fireworks display.

 

Celebrations continue the following evening of the 1st January at the annual Dervaig New Year dance at Dervaig Village Hall - 8 miles from Tobermory.
