The Farmhouse is very comfortably furnished and really feels like a family house. It is a firm favourite with visitors both old and new.

Enjoy the spacious lounge with its open fire.  A supply of logs is included.

Comfortably sleeping 12, and with its own attractive walled garden, the Stables is equipped with all modern amenities and provides self catering holiday accommodation of the highest order. The property has 3 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, and a bunk room. We can also provide a cot. There are two bathrooms and a shower room.

The Farmhouse is generously proportioned throughout providing comfortable accommodation for the larger family.

The spacious drawing room has spectacular views 40 miles down the sound of Mull, features exposed wooden floorboards, ample seating space, some beautiful pieces of period furniture, a colour TV and a magnificent open fireplace, which we keep stocked with a constant supply of firewood sourced from local land.

The farmhouse kitchen features an Aga and is well equipped with enough crockery, cutlery, etc for 12 people. The large dining table is big enough for all but the largest family.

There are three double bedrooms. This one has a double bed.

The front hall leads into the open plan farmhouse kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is equipped with a gas Aga, a 4 ring electric hob, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a microwave. It has a tiled floor and generous cupboard space. In the downstairs shower room there is a washing machine and a molly maid drying rail and in the utility room there is a tumble dryer a large refrigerator a chest freezer and space for boots and coats.
 A French window leads out onto a well maintained sheltered lawn, and a set of four large windows provide panoramic views across the Sound of Mull.

Property Description

The Stables (formerly the Farmhouse), which was originally the stables for 13 cart horses and one stallion, was beautifully converted into a holiday cottage in 1987 and lies at the heart of Ardnacross farm. With sweeping views across the Sound of Mull and surrounding countryside, this spacious and immaculately furnished large holiday house is full of period charm; a real ‘home away from home’. The cottage is non-smoking for the benefit of all our guests.

The holiday cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Isle of Mull. The sea is just a short walk away, and the coastline is peppered with sheltered bays and picturesque coves, ideal for picnics, swimming or just passing the time by observing otters, seals and a myriad of seabirds in their natural habitats.

Though the location offers almost complete seclusion, a mere 10 minute drive north brings you to the picture perfect town of Tobermory, which offers a selection of shops and restaurants.

The Stables holiday cottage is centrally heated and with a ready supply of hot water. All bed linen  provided, and dogs are welcome
