Komani is a newly built house situated above the Aros River estuary on the east coast of Mull. Part of the settlement of Aros Mains, it is just a few minutes walk from the ruins of historic Aros Castle, and from a beautiful, unspoiled coastline rich in wildlife. South facing, it enjoys an elevated position with beautiful views over the sea and of the mountains to the south. Its position makes it ideal for exploring the island, but if you don’t feel like getting in the car, there are many beautiful walks close at hand. The Aros River estuary is famous for its wildlife, and seals, otters, wildfowl and many sea birds can regularly be spotted just minutes away from the house. It is also ideal for fishing, and a permit can easily be obtained for the river Aros 5 minutes away.

Komani is being let on a short-term basis as its owners are abroad, so has all the benefits of being a family home. It is bright and spacious, yet (unlike some new houses) homely, with large, comfortable rooms. It is well heated (very important in winter!) and has an open fire in the sitting room for cosy evenings.

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer etc, and there is a dining room with large table for family meals.

The house sleeps 6 comfortably in two double bedrooms and one twin, all with ensuite bathrooms (two showers and one with bath)

The tidal estuary is incredibly rich in wildlife, and sea eagles and otters can regularly be seen.

This little beach is just 3 minutes walk from the house, and is very sheltered and safe for children.

The house is situated in 2 acres of garden, with a large terrace in front. Aros Mains is just 15 minutes drive from the island’s main town of Tobermory, which has a supermarket, butcher, chemist, garage and post office, as well as a good choice of restaurants, pubs etc. The village of Salen is just 5 minutes drive away (within walking distance, along a very pleasant track) and all has good amenities including a general store, post office, church, hotel, petrol station and restaurant. The regular bus route from Tobermory to the Ferry Terminal in Craignure passes right by Aros Mains.
