Lyndale has its own driveway with parking space for two vehicles and there is a large garden to all four sides of the house. The western perimeter borders on farmland used to graze sheep.

The house is heated by storage heaters with additional wall mounted convector heaters in the bedrooms. It is well insulated and double glazed throughout. It is a very cosy and comfortable house. A whole house ventilation system is newly installed for 2011. This introduces a slow stream of gently warmed air from outside which eliminates condensation and provides a pleasant atmosphere. The benefit is most marked in the cooler months.


The large lounge has a wide picture window facing south with superb, uninterrupted views over Tobermory Bay, Calve Island, Aros Park, the mountains of Mull, the Sound of Mull and Morvern on the mainland.

It has a cast iron electric stove on a stone flag hearth for additional heating and as a focal point.

 There are 2 comfortable sofas, a 26" flat screen TV with all freeview channels, and a DVD player. There is a CD sound system with radio. A heavy pine dining table and 6 sturdy chairs furnish the dining area. Modern oak furniture completes the room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, cooker, toaster and a full complement of pots, pans, crockery etc. Lyndale has a telephone and broadband connection. The telephone has free weekend calls to UK landlines and a list of other destinations. Incoming calls are free. Wireless broadband is provided for guests at no charge.

 

 

The bathroom has a 'P' shaped large bath with a separate shower over it. The shower has separate mixer controls and is powerful. A newly installed water system provides plenty of hot water. Large heated towel rail, wash basin and WC.

Property Description

Lyndale is a detached bungalow situated in Western Road, a quiet location only 5 minutes walk from Tobermory's famous Main Street. It is part of a small development of 3 bungalows built in the early 1980s. There is a children's playground area and public tennis courts less than 100 yards away.  The house itself is in an elevated position and has stunning views.
Price includes bed linen, towels, electricity and heating.
You are welcome to bring one well behaved dog to Lyndale.

Lyndale has been completely renovated during early 2011.

Bedrooms

   

The house has three bedrooms and accommodates six people in comfort. It is equipped and decorated to a very high standard.

Bedroom 1 has two full size very solid pine single beds with bedside tables and reading lamps. A large built in wardrobe provides hanging space and shelves. Full length mirror.
Bedroom 2 has two full size handmade bunk beds, a pine wardrobe with drawers, bedside table and reading lamp and a full length mirror.
Bedroom 3 is the smallest bedroom. It shares the wonderful panoramic view with the lounge. It has a very comfortable king-size double bed with a blissful memory foam mattress, bedside table, reading lamp and a large built-in wardrobe with hanging and shelves. Full length mirror.

The Lyndale Webcam shows the glorious view from the lounge across Tobermory bay to Aros Park. Calve island is clearly visible, as is the Morvern peninsula and the mountains of Mull (weather dependent). You can view the pictures by typing aaamix.ipcam.hk into the address bar of your browser. Follow the simple instructions to connect to the live image. There is no point in viewing night time pictures, and if the sun is out morning images may be obscured.
