Property Description

Four holiday cottages on a  working  Dairy Farm close to Tobermory. All have been recently re-furbished to a very comfortable standard. They are heated from the farm’s log burning boiler and also have their own wood burning stoves. All are equipped with TV./DVD/and have internet facility.  Clothes washing facilities and a drying room are available. Visitors are invited to make use of the farm’s heated indoor swimming pool and sauna. The farm is fully self sufficient in its energy needs. Water power from our turbine on the Tobermory River generates our electricity and timber from the forests of Mull produces whatever extra heat is needed to supplement it. When you return home with your happy memories there will be scarcely any carbon foot print left behind to show you were here!

The cottages are at the heart of the farm and the dairying and cheese making activities go on very closely by. Visitors are welcome to watch and see what goes on. The cows are milked in the early morning and again in the afternoon. Cheese is made daily. The cottages will especially appeal to those who want to experience a little of the life and environment of a working farm. But if cows and tractors don’t appeal, Tobermory  is just minutes away.

Cheese Cottage was, till recently, the dairy in which the Award Winning Isle of Mull Cheese was made and adjoins the milking parlour where the cows are milked. It has been carefully renovated to provide a large Kitchen/Living room with views across farmland to the Sound of Mull and the hills of Morvern.  French windows open onto a patio area suitable for BBQ or simply just relaxing.

Under floor heating keeps it gently warm and a wood burning stove is there for even more cosiness when wanted.

Upstairs are two loft bedrooms. One has a double bed the other three singles. Between them is a bath room with shower.

Milk Cottage sleeps two (with room for a child) and is where, until recently, milk from the adjoining dairy was prepared for sale around the island. A comfortable  Living room/Kitchen has under floor heating with French window access to a small patio has a wood burning stove and upstairs is an en suite bedroom for two.

Milk Cottage is available with a £50  per week discount when booked jointly with either of the other three properties.

The Garden Rooms has a private patio area to enjoy the light summer nights.

The Farm House  sleeps up to five and has a large Kitchen/Living room with wood burning stove. South facing windows look out over a large garden and across fields to the surrounding forest and hills.

Upstairs, on each side of the shower room  are two  bedrooms; one double bedded, the other with two bunk beds & 1 single bed.

South facing windows look out over a large garden and across fields to the surrounding forest and hills. the Garden rooms are all on one level.  There are  2 bedrooms.
