Ulva Cottage, Salen

Ulva Cottage is a charming and unique property,
built by Lady Congleton (who owned the Isle of Ulva)
 in the 1950s. It was completely renovated in 1999 and
is a spacious and light-filled two-storey house which gets
 sunshine all day long, and has panoramic views over the
 surrounding countryside and the Sound of Mull.

Ulva Cottage is situated just outside the village of Salen, and is close to 2 hotels, an Italian restaurant, general store, post office, laundry and petrol station. Salen is about 10 miles from the ferry terminal at Craignure and 11 miles from Tobermory. The Isle of Ulva is only 25 minutes away, and Iona only an hour or so.

Ulva Cottage is furnished in a simple modern style with polished wooden
floorboards. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have carpeted floors. (photographs to come).
 The house has central heating, as well as the coal fire in the sitting room.
There is a large woodland garden, which is very pleasant to sit in and makes
a great adventure playground

Large sitting room with windows on three sides – and a stunning view of the sunset each evening. Open coal fire. Colour TV and DVD player.

Large kitchen – well-equipped with large fridge, electric cooker with ceramic
 hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave. Table and chairs to seat 6.
 Larder with tall freezer.

Bedroom 3 – twin beds

Bathroom 2 - with bath and shower. Shaver socket.

Tariff: £550 inclusive of electricity and linen. (Also welcome pack containing  tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, milk, washing-up liquid, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, bin bags.)

Strictly no smoking. Sorry, no pets.
