“The cottage was very tastefully decorated and designed and well appointed with all that you could possibly need . Although not on the beach we had views from the window and the lovely wee bay / beach was a very short walk away . The cosy dressing gowns were a lovely touch .”
“Comfy beds and cosy lounge area. Self catering facilities were exceptional and little extras, especially the Christmas tree added to our enjoyment.
Also a short walk to the local hotel/bar.”
“Lovely quiet location, Milky way visible at night.”
“Compared to other accommodation on gigha this house is great. Lovely location and big enough for all the family. ”
“Beach view cottage is in a perfect location close to amenities and stunning beaches with crystal clear water. It has everything you need for a break away including a lovely wood burning stove, perfect for the colder months. The communication from the owners was excellent, Sarah went out of our way to ensure we were comfortable and happy with the accommodation. ”
“Comfortable and suitably equipped cottage. It is located very close to the ferry pier. The excellent Boathouse Restaurant is also very close by.”
“The setting was nice with a five minute walk to the beach, saw seal family! Great beds and duvets
Lovely shutters on the windows.
Freezer was good, shower good.
Overall a lovely stay.”
ISLE OF GIGHA
Tarbert 22miles, Campbeltown 22 miles
The island of Gigha is the southern most of the Hebrides and sits off the coast of Argyll in beautifully clear waters. Only 2.5 hours from Glasgow and then a 20 minute ferry journey from the mainland, Gigha is one of the more accessible islands and yet offers a true ‘get away from it all’ experience and a haven of tranquillity. Gigha is community owned, following a buyout in 2002. The island boasts beautiful bays and beaches, crystal clear waters as well as spectacular Achamore Gardens, a nine-hole golf course. Indulge in locally caught fish or make island hopping a part of your trip and visit Scotland’s whisky producing islands including nearby Islay and Jura.
