We chose this, our favourite place in Scotland, for our last vacation before emigrating to Australia. How well rewarded we were! We spotted a pod of dolphins off the coast of Kintra, counted over 27 deer in the fields behind the cottage, watched the hen harrier swoop past, ate scallops and black pudding rolls next to the ferry landing, stoked fires, admired the white beach of Calgary Bay and made a pilgrimage to the Mausoleum of Lachlan McQuarrie, 'the father of Australia'. Thanks so much, we will be back.

Couldn't have wanted more from a cottage. Have loved watching the red deer in the evenings. Knockvologan beach probably the most beautiful beach we have ever visited. Sour dough and fresh veg from Crofter's Kitchen a real bonus.

We've had a lovely, relaxing week. The cottage is lovely and well equipped. Walks around the area are wonderful, shore only 10 minutes! For the adventurous, Carsaig Arches are definitely worth the walk, we saw a minke whale and watched the gannets fishing - fabulous! Cafe Fish in Tobermory still one of our favourite seafood restaurants anywhere
