An absolute diamond, sitting on top of the rest of the geological and other marvels in the south-west of this beautiful island. A perfect little gem of a house, which somehow magically combines a restful and uncluttered ambience with everything you might ever think you need in a holiday cottage (and more)! An absolute credit to the delightful owners, Donald and Lorna. l would have loved to give a rubbish review in order to ensure availability for my making a return trip some time soon; unfortunately, my inner George Washington got in the way!☹️

The cottage, at Ardtun near Bunessan on the Ross of Mull, was well furnished and equipped, in an attractive quiet location, with a short walk through a field and a small wood to the sea. It's hard to be critical of a cottage we found to be just about ideal for our needs. We'll hope to be back!

The cottage was superb, everything you could possibly need. Location amazing, even the good weather was included.

Heather Cottage was positioned in the most beautiful situation. Wonderful views from the sitting room (shame about the weather). We spent a day on Iona which was well worth a visit. The beaches, within a short drive of the cottage, were amazing and our little dog Timmy had a wonderful time running around the rocks. Everything about Heather Cottage was perfect. Would love to visit again. So sad when I left because I couldnt get the vacuum to work and we had to rush for the ferry. I hope I have been forgiven.

We loved Heather Cottage. In fact it far exceeded our expectations. We spent a day on Iona, which was wonderful, although crowded. If we return, we'll try and come out of season. We had a meal at the Argyll Arms which was very good.
