Cragaig Bothy, Isle of Ulva |
|
Situated on the south side of the picturesque, community owned, Isle of Ulva, Cragaig Bothy is now available for visitors to the island. This unique property offers basic accommodation, with no electricity or services but does have superb view out over the sea to Iona, Staffa and the Treshnish Islands. The island is renowned for its stunning scenery and wildlife - it is home to sea eagles, golden eagles, hen harriers, otters, seals and much, much more.
There is no road to the bothy, so access is by foot after a two hour walk from the Ulva Ferry. It can also be reached by sea via kayak or boat. The water in the bothy is not suitable for drinking, however there is a gas cooker and woodburning stove that can be used to heat water. In addition, there are no shops on the island so all supplies must be brought over from Mull and carried in. |
